The DL365 G5 is now available with Quad-Core AMD Opteron processors and Dual Dynamic Power Management.

AMD Quad-Core processors offer AMD Balanced Smart Cache which increases performance with less thrashing by balancing L1/L2/L3 cache between dedicated and shared cores. This improves core efficiency for better support of multi-threaded virtualization environments.

AMD Quad-Core processors also offer AMD Wide Floating Point Accelerator which enables 128 Bit Floating Point, doubling floating-point capabilities. This greatly improves performance on HPC and scientific workloads, reducing job times.

Finally, the DL365 G5 takes advantage of the Dual Dynamic Power Management architecture which provides independent voltage planes for cores and the memory controller resulting more in granular power management capabilities and increased performance.
