  • Up to two Intel Xeon 5570 processor running at 2.93GHz with 6.4 GT/s QPI system speed, 8M cache and Turbo mod enabled.
  • Each processor supports 9 Registered DIMMs or 6 Unbuffer DIMMs.

Total up to 18 slots for Registered DIMM modules, 12 slots for Unbuffer DIMM modules.

  • It is required to have 2 processors populated to support total 18 or 12 memory modules.
  • If only 1 processor is populated, then only 9 slots are supported for Registered or 6 slots for unbuffered memory.

Q2. What is HP onboard Administrator?
A2. ProLiant Onboard Administrator (powered by embedded iLO 2 controller) is management functionality that simplifies server setup, health monitoring, power and thermal control, and remote administration of ProLiant ML, DL, and BL servers. ProLiant Onboard Administrator functions without additional software and functionality can be accessed local to the server or remotely via a web browser. Onboard Administrator is an HP technology that is embedded on selected ProLiant servers. The On-board Administrator provides basic management features that include simplified setup, text-based boot-up and operating system consoles, group configuration and actions, remote power on/off, SSL security, detailed server status, event logs, alert forwarding, virtual indicators, diagnostics and virtual media, KVM, text re-directory, thermal management, power capping.
Q3. What is TPM?
A3. TPM is an abbreviation for Trusted Platform Module. It delivers features and standards to ensure IT devices can identify themselves and behave as expected.

Q4. Is iLO going away or lose functionality ?
A4. HP will continue to refer to the remote administration functionality of the ProLiant Onboard Administrator as Integrated Lights-Out(iLO) remote administration and will continue to offer iLO Advanced to customers who require capabilities such as Graphical Remote Console, Virtual Media, and Video Record and Replay. Also, in presentations and product literature we will use the phrase “powered by the iLO 2 management processor” to draw the linkage between ProLiant Onboard Administrator and iLO. Use ProLiant Onboard Administrator introduction as an opportunity to re-assure customers that iLO remote administration will continue as a core feature of the ProLiant Onboard Administrator and to draw their attention to frequently overlooked capabilities such as power and thermal control and embedded health.
