HP Data Protector Express Single Server Edition is easy to install, use and manage backup and recovery software. It is available exclusively for HP StorageWorks tape drives and HP StorageWorks tape autoloaders - it is not available any other way. This powerful software is suitable for organizations with limited IT resource because it is designed for true ease-of-use. It protects a single Windows, Linux or NetWare server by back up to a StorageWorks tape product, disk and/or CD/DVD. Also included with the StorageWorks tape products is the HP Data Protector Express Bare Metal Disaster Recovery (BMDR) option. The Data Protector Express BMDR option adds the capability to quickly recover a server to an operational state following a serious hardware or software failure. This option provides CD/DVD-based disaster recovery or HP tape-based disaster recovery using the tape drive’s One-Button Disaster Recovery (OBDR) feature.
