HP StorageWorks XP Provisioning Manager Software makes it easy for the storage administrator to quickly connect an HP StorageWorks XP Disk Array to a host server and to conveniently make the storage ready for use in an optimal fashion using the centralized HP StorageWorks XP Command View Advanced Edition Software GUI. This saves the administrator time and effort and gets the storage online and ready for use by the end users in an optimal fashion, thus improving productivity and lowering costs. HP XP Provisioning Manager is a plug-in application launched from HP XP Command View Advanced Edition Software that facilitates storage provisioning in HP StorageWorks XP Disk Arrays. It facilitates the carving up of raw disk storage into manageable LDEV's, allocating these LDEV's to host servers, creating a device file, file system, and mounting the resulting block to a file system so that the new storage is ready for use by the host server.
