Both the HP StorageWorks FC1143 4Gb PCI-X 2.0 Host Bus Adapter and the HP StorageWorks FC1243 4Gb PCI-X 2.0 Dual Channel Host Bus Adapter (HBA) are Fibre Channel adapters that are certified by HP to work effortlessly and seamlessly in HP environments. These HBAs provide one of the building blocks to a faster, newer SAN infrastructure, minimizing downtime for the SAN and components. With their ability to auto-negotiate the operating environment, anyone can purchase these new HBAs and have them quickly integrated into an existing SAN with one single point of accountability. Priced equal to 2Gb cards, the new 4Gb HBAs are part of a new generation of host bus adapters which offer lower cost and higher performance while remaining completely backward compatible with previous generations.
