The HP StorageWorks 9000 Virtual Library System can start as a 7.5 TB, one-node system and easily scale into a multi-node solution with performance and capacity of 4800 MB/sec and 1280 TB of useable storage with hardware compression. For fast data protection and backup in complex SAN environments, the VLS9000 supports the licensing of Accelerated deduplication. Accelerated deduplication delivers fast backup performance and does not impact the backup process. Low bandwidth replication enables fast, cost-effective disaster recovery. The VLS9000 seamlessly integrates into existing backup applications and processes. It is a self-managed, auto configured and monitored performance-tuned appliance that is installed through a simple interface. Offering a highly available solution, it provides reliable data protection using RAID 6 technology with a high level of hardware-integrated data availability features.
